Lahore: A man was shot dead by his nephew during a dispute over inherited property in the Kot Lakhpat area, police said on Friday.
According to police, the victim, identified as 53-year-old Muhammad Saleem, had been engaged in a property dispute with his nephew. The suspect allegedly opened fire during the altercation and fled the scene.
Following the incident, police shifted the body to Jinnah Hospital for legal formalities.
Meanwhile, the Station House Officer of Kot Lakhpat Police Station, along with a police team, arrested two suspects in connection with the incident, while raids are underway to apprehend two other accomplices.
ASP Model Town Kashmala Farooq stated that the dispute stemmed from a family inheritance issue. The arrested suspects were identified as Saeed and Usman, against whom a case has been registered. Further investigation is in progress.
