Lahore: A burglary gang involved in ransacking homes during the absence of residents has been arrested by Faisal Town Police.
According to details, the suspects were traced through CCTV footage, which showed them breaking into houses, loading stolen items onto a rickshaw, and fleeing the scene. SP Model Town stated that the accused would conduct surveillance in various areas, identify houses left unattended, and then break the locks to steal valuables.
Police recovered a refrigerator, air conditioner, water cooler, cash, other household items, and a stolen rickshaw from their possession. The arrested suspects, identified as Ahmed and Shakeel, had already sold goods worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.
A case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is under way. SP Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi said that ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property remains the department’s top priority.
