Lung and heart diseases have become the leading causes of death in Pakistan. Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide.

‎It is medically known as bronchogenic carcinoma. Air pollution is becoming a major cause of lung cancer.

‎According to health experts, the causes of lung cancer include an unhealthy lifestyle and various harmful habits such as burning garbage in streets and neighborhoods, not planting trees, lack of greenery, smoking, and consuming high fat and greasy foods.

‎It is common for lung cancer not to show symptoms in its early stages. As the condition worsens, most of the symptoms of lung cancer begin to appear.

‎Symptoms of lung cancer include a persistent cough that worsens over time, chest pain or discomfort, shortness of breath, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, coughing up blood or rust-colored sputum, and swelling in the upper chest, arms, neck, or face.

‎To identify the disease, doctors advise that if you experience difficulty breathing while doing chores or climbing stairs, notice weight loss, or have pain in the spine, consult your doctor as soon as possible.

‎Additionally, people who are habitual smokers may suffer greatly from this habit. Therefore, adopting healthy habits is essential to prevent lung and heart diseases.
