Madinah:

Residents and pilgrims in Madinah were left shocked on Thursday morning when a loud explosion was heard near the Prophet’s Mosque ﷺ, followed by the sight of a bright flame-like object streaking across the sky. Videos of the incident quickly went viral on social media, sparking widespread speculation.

Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred at around 5:43 AM, just before sunrise. A sudden, thunderous blast echoed across the city, and moments later, a glowing missile-like object was seen moving across the sky.

According to Inside the Haramain, a trusted platform covering events in the holy cities, they are aware of the reports but urged the public to avoid rumors and wait for an official clarification from authorities.

On social media, some users claimed it might have been a missile or projectile, while others suggested it could have been space debris burning up upon entering Earth’s atmosphere. As of now, however, no official statement has been released by Saudi authorities to confirm the nature of the event.

The mysterious explosion and fiery trail have caused concern among both residents and visitors in Madinah, with many awaiting further explanation from official sources.
