Teen Arrested for Harassing Girls in Green Town Following Viral Video
Lahore: Punjab Police swiftly arrested a suspect after a video of him harassing two young girls went viral on social media. According to DSP Township Circle Khurram Cheema, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Green Town Police Station.
The video showed a man on a motorcycle inappropriately touching two girls who had stepped out of their house to attend Quran classes. The disturbing footage prompted immediate action from the police.
Within six to seven hours of the video surfacing, Green Town Police launched a technical investigation and successfully apprehended the suspect. The arrested individual was identified as a 10th-grade student, aged 16.
During initial interrogation, the teenager confessed to the act and shockingly admitted that he had previously been accused of similar behavior. He also stated that he “enjoys such acts,” raising serious concerns about his mindset.
An FIR was registered against the suspect at the Green Town Police Station, based on a complaint filed by the father of one of the victims.
DSP Khurram Cheema emphasized that the police are committed to protecting the lives and dignity of citizens. “We will not spare individuals involved in such heinous acts,” he stated, adding that further investigation is ongoing.
