ISLAMABAD — Police have registered a case against a man accused of harassing and threatening a young girl in the jurisdiction of Hamak Police Station, following a formal complaint lodged by the victim’s mother.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the accused, identified as Sufyan Asif, allegedly stalked the girl, intercepted her in public, and subjected her to physical assault. The complainant, Gul Bibi, further stated that Asif repeatedly visited their residence, brandishing a firearm and issuing death threats.
The FIR also references video evidence purportedly showing the accused pursuing and attacking the girl.
Law enforcement officials revealed that the incident stems from a longstanding dispute between the two families over a proposed relationship. A prior altercation had led to the registration of a Qalandara under breach of peace, with both parties instructed to avoid further escalation.
However, tensions flared again when Asif allegedly attempted to contact the girl, prompting her parents to alert authorities. Police responded swiftly and filed a fresh FIR against the suspect.
The complainant has expressed grave concern for her daughter’s safety and has called for stringent legal action against the accused.
