In a tragic incident near Nowshera Kalan, a man opened indiscriminate fire on a bus returning from an engagement ceremony, resulting in the death of a 7-year-old girl and the injury of a 16-year-old girl. The incident occurred as the bus, numbered C-7450, was traveling from Risalpur Rashki near Khitab Khel village to Nowshera Kalan, Wazirabad.
According to police reports, the suspect, identified as Mansoor, was upset about the engagement ceremony and attempted to disrupt it by opening fire on the bus passengers.
The 7-year-old victim, Hamid Noor, was killed on the spot, while a young guest, Shamila, was severely injured. Other passengers aboard the bus narrowly escaped harm. The suspect fled the scene after the shooting.
Hamid Noor’s father, Fazal Ahad, spoke to the media, explaining that they were on their way to attend their nephew’s engagement when the attack occurred. He confirmed that his daughter, Hamid Noor, died due to gunshot wounds, and the wounded girl, Shamila, was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, a case of murder and attempted murder has been registered at Nowshera Kalan Police Station. The police have identified the suspect and are conducting raids to arrest him.
