More than 436,000 Dog Bite Cases Reported in Punjab Over Two Years

More than 436,000 dog bite cases have been reported in Punjab over the past two years.

‎According to statistics from the Punjab Health Department, a concerning revelation shows that more than 203,000 people were bitten by dogs in 2025, while more than 232,000 dog bite incidents were reported in 2024.

‎More than 28,000 cases were reported in Dera Ghazi Khan, the highest among the districts, while more than 15,000 dog bite incidents were reported in Lahore. Rahim Yar Khan reported 26,488 cases and Faisalabad recorded 25,863 incidents.

‎The Health Department admitted during a meeting that dog bite incidents are continuously increasing.
