BANFF, Alberta — Jinny Howe, Netflix’s head of scripted series for the United States and Canada, is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the 2026 Banff World Media Festival, according to the event’s official agenda.
The festival lists “Keynote: Jinny Howe, Netflix” for June 15 at 10:30 a.m., during the four-day event held at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta.
Howe oversees Netflix’s scripted series operations across the U.S. and Canada, placing her in a key role in the company’s development and commissioning decisions for original programming.
The Banff World Media Festival is an international media industry event that brings together creators, producers, streamers, and studio executives from more than 50 countries. It serves as both a conference and a marketplace for pitching projects and discussing industry trends.
Keynote sessions at the festival often focus on the direction of television and streaming content, including commissioning strategies, audience trends, and global content development.
Netflix also has involvement in this year’s festival through the jointly promoted “Diversity of Voices: Elevate” program, which supports underrepresented Canadian creators attending the event.
