SAHIWAL – A notorious robber, Ilyas alias Ilyasi, was killed during an exchange of fire between the Counter Crime Department (CCD) team and armed suspects in Sahiwal.
According to CCD officials, the deceased dacoit was wanted in several criminal cases and was killed by gunfire from his own accomplices during the shootout. His associates managed to escape from the scene.
Following the incident, CCD Sahiwal launched a search operation in the surrounding areas to trace the fleeing suspects. Officials reaffirmed that protecting citizens’ lives and property remains the department’s top priority, and that operations against criminal networks have been intensified across the district.
