Lahore: Pakistan sealed the three-match T20I series 2–1 after defeating South Africa by 4 wickets in a tense decider at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Batting first, South Africa managed 139 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs. Pakistan chased down the target in 19 overs, finishing at 140 for 6 to claim victory.
Captain Babar Azam led from the front with a classy 68 runs off 47 balls, smashing 9 fours before being dismissed by Corbin Bosch. Skipper Salman Agha also played a crucial knock of 33 off 26 balls, anchoring the chase at a vital stage.
Sahibzada Farhan contributed 19 runs, while Usman Khan (6*) and Faheem Ashraf (4*) guided Pakistan home in the end.
For South Africa, Corbin Bosch and Lizaad Williams took two wickets each, while Andile Simelane picked up one.
With this victory, Pakistan completed the chase with an over to spare and secured the T20I series 2–1, delighting the home crowd in Lahore.
