Pakistan’s Passport Department has launched a new online verification system aimed at resolving long-standing technical issues faced by thousands of applicants. The upgrade is designed to make the verification process faster, smoother, and more user-friendly.
With the new system, applicants can now verify their fingerprints through NADRA’s Pak-ID mobile app. In cases where fingerprints do not match, a facial verification option has also been introduced to ensure seamless processing.
According to DG Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi, the new features will greatly benefit overseas Pakistanis who previously struggled with verification due to distance and limited access to biometric facilities.
He added that senior citizens will also find the updated process far more convenient, ultimately making the passport application experience easier and more efficient for all users.
