In a major development for Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has introduced a substantial increase in prize money, effective from the upcoming edition of the tournament.

The initiative is designed to strengthen franchise cricket and elevate Pakistan’s overall cricket structure.

While speaking in Lahore, Naqvi announced that the PSL title-winning team will now receive $500,000 — one of the most significant financial enhancements in the league’s history. The decision reflects the board’s renewed focus on supporting franchises and players.

He added that the upgraded prize purse will boost team morale and intensify competition throughout the event.

Runners-up prize and development incentives

Naqvi further revealed that the runners-up will earn $300,000. Moreover, the PCB has introduced a new development-related award aimed at promoting long-term cricket growth within each franchise.
