LAHORE: Kot Lakhpat Police have arrested a gang allegedly involved in pickpocketing and theft at Lahore General Hospital, targeting attendants of patients.

According to police officials, the suspects — identified as Raja and Bilal — were apprehended with the help of CCTV footage that clearly showed them stealing from people accompanying patients. The gang had reportedly stolen cash, mobile phones, and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.

Police said the arrested suspects are repeat offenders with prior records of theft and robbery. A pistol was also recovered from their possession.

SP Model Town Ikhlaq Ullah Tarar stated that a case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is underway. He added that ensuring the safety of citizens and their property remains the department’s top priority.
