Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has raised the laptop quota for students and youth of Balochistan from 10,000 to 18,000 under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP), Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan announced on Wednesday.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Artificial Intelligence and Cybercrime courses in Chagai DHA Quetta, Rana Mashhood said the federal government is committed to equipping youth with modern technical education and skills.

He emphasized that the federation plays a crucial role in developing the skills of Balochistan’s youth and reaffirmed that PMYP initiatives will continue to expand across the province.

Highlighting other government priorities, he noted that the agriculture sector remains a key focus, with several young individuals from Balochistan recently receiving startup loans under PMYP.

Rana Mashhood also stated that Pakistani youth are evolving from job seekers to job creators, adding that Pakistan is among the few countries with a national Artificial Intelligence policy.

He further revealed that PM Shehbaz Sharif has increased Newtech funds to enhance youth employment abroad, particularly in the Middle East, Europe, Korea, Canada, and the United States, aiming to double foreign exchange earnings within three years.
