After several blistering days, Karachi is set to experience some relief today, June 16, 2025, with scattered rain showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Showers some possibly heavy are expected later today and into tonight across various parts of the city, particularly in fringe and suburban areas.
Gusty north‑westerly winds will accompany the rain, especially around storm activity.
Daytime temperatures are likely to reach 36–38 °C, with humid conditions ranging between 70–80% in the morning, easing slightly to around 55% by evening.
A western weather system, combined with moist currents entering eastern Sindh, is causing this shift from previously hot and dry conditions.
The PMD also forecasts dust thunderstorms and isolated hail risks in and around the city today and tomorrow, while several other regions of Sindh, Punjab, KP, and Balochistan will receive pre-monsoon showers through June 16.
