‎A special ceremony was organized by the Ministry of Health in the federal capital, attended by the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the World Health Organization’s Representative in Pakistan.

‎Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal said that Pakistan and Egypt share historic and brotherly relations, and the humanitarian initiative by the Egyptian government is commendable. He added that Egypt has achieved exemplary success in eradicating Hepatitis C.

‎He stated that this achievement is a role model for the entire world, and Pakistan is determined to learn from this model to achieve its national goals.

‎Mustafa Kamal said that this donation will not only strengthen Pakistan’s ongoing campaign against Hepatitis C but will also mark the beginning of a new chapter in international partnership in the field of public health.

‎Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief of Mission of Egypt said that these medicines are not merely a donation but a reflection of the long-standing relations between Pakistan and Egypt. The medicines will be used particularly for the treatment of deserving and vulnerable communities.
