Promise to Restore Health Allowance, Health Alliance Announces Postponement of Strike

Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry assured the restoration of the health allowance, after which the Federal Health Alliance postponed its strike.

‎The core committee meeting of the representative body of federal hospitals, the Federal Health Alliance, was held at PIMS. The rejection of the summary for health allowance and the attitude of the Ministry of Health were discussed.

‎Dr. Tariq Fazal assured employees that the health allowance would be restored. He said the matter would be resolved after a meeting with the Finance Minister next week. The unpleasant incident related to the allowance issue would also be addressed.

‎He stated that Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal is an honest and hardworking person, fully capable of solving problems. On this assurance, the Federal Health Alliance withdrew its strike call for Monday.

‎Core Committee Chairman Kaleemullah and Health Alliance President Qamar Gujar said all government hospitals in Islamabad would remain open as usual on Monday. PIMS Executive Director Dr. Imran said that the Health Minister stands with the employees and the issue will be resolved soon.
