The Punjab government has announced plans to introduce a digital examination system across all provincial education boards, marking a major step toward modernizing the assessment process. The initiative aims to enhance transparency, accuracy, and overall trust in board examinations.
As part of the rollout, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore will conduct a briefing and training session on December 13, which representatives from all Punjab boards are expected to attend. Officials say the session will outline the framework and technical requirements for shifting to digital exams.
Task Force Committee for Boards Chairman Muzammil Mahmood stated that the reforms will significantly improve the credibility and efficiency of the examination system. A BISE Lahore spokesperson added that system analysts and computer programmers have been directed to participate in the upcoming training to prepare for the transition.
The government’s move signals the beginning of comprehensive digital reforms across Punjab’s educational boards.
