DUBAI: Pakistan U19 delivered a dominant all-round performance to thrash Malaysia by 297 runs in the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025 at The Sevens Stadium on Friday.
After Malaysia captain Deeaz Patro opted to bowl first, Pakistan’s batting lineup took full control, piling up a massive 345-3 in 50 overs.
The highlight of the innings was an extraordinary 293-run third-wicket partnership between Sameer Minhas and Ahmed Hussain, which completely shifted the momentum Pakistan’s way.
Pakistan suffered early setbacks as opener Usman Khan fell for just 1, trapped by Nagineswaran Sathnakumaran. Ali Hassan Baloch looked promising but departed for 14, leaving Pakistan 30-2 inside 10 overs.
From there, Sameer and Ahmed counter-attacked brilliantly, punishing every Malaysian bowler and turning the innings into a batting masterclass. Their partnership laid the foundation for one of the biggest totals of the tournament.
In reply, Malaysia crumbled under pressure and failed to pose any resistance, giving Pakistan a massive, morale-boosting victory
