Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has announced that advanced heart care services are being rapidly developed in Murree and nearby areas.
Speaking during a meeting at the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, he said the government is committed to providing modern cardiac facilities, in line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision.
Ongoing work at Syed Muhammad Hussain Samli Hospital and Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center was reviewed. The minister said daily monitoring is in place, and staff and equipment for the catheterization lab are being arranged urgently.
Secretary Health Azmat Mahmood Khan added that both hospitals are now linked with the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology for expert support. He also instructed timely completion of all tasks.
Several senior officials, including Dr. Qaiser Abbasi and Dr. Farqad Alamgir, also took part in the meeting.
