Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced sweeping education reforms aimed at transforming public schools across the province, including the launch of AI labs, new classrooms, and expanded scholarships.

Speaking at the Laptop and Honahar Scholarship distribution ceremony at the University of Sargodha, Maryam Nawaz pledged to increase merit-based scholarships starting next academic year, ensuring talented students — regardless of financial status — can access higher education.

She revealed ambitious plans: setting up electric bike charging stations at educational institutions, building 6,000 AI and computer labs in government schools, adding 50,000 new classrooms, and equipping every public school with essential furniture like chairs and desks.

“My goal is to see students of government schools equal, if not superior, to those in private institutions,” she emphasized, underlining her commitment to equitable education.

Beyond education, Maryam Nawaz also urged students to practice responsible digital behavior, advising them to verify online information before sharing.

Concluding her speech, she reaffirmed her mission for inclusive development: “My desire is to see every boy and girl in Punjab succeed.”
