RCB Celebrations Turn Tragic as Stampede Leaves 11 Dead Outside Stadium

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s historic IPL 2025 title celebrations took a tragic turn on Wednesday after a deadly stampede outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. At least 11 people are feared dead, and several others injured, forcing the cancellation of RCB’s open bus victory parade.

The team was celebrating its maiden Indian Premier League title after defeating Punjab Kings in the final. Earlier in the day, the players were felicitated by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Star batter Virat Kohli and captain Rajat Patidar also addressed a packed crowd inside the stadium before chaos erupted outside.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the stampede, which reportedly began when large crowds surged past security barriers in an attempt to catch a glimpse of the players.
