Unidentified motorcyclists robbed a petrol pump cashier of Rs 3.3 million near Singer Chowrangi in Korangi Industrial Area, police said on Tuesday.
According to police, the incident occurred within the limits of Awami Colony police station near a PSO petrol pump in Sector 27. Three armed suspects riding two motorcycles intercepted the cashier and snatched the cash before fleeing the scene.
The victim, identified as Muhammad Arif, stated that he was employed as an accountant at a private petrol pump. On January 27, 2026, he was transporting Rs 3.3 million along with a colleague on a motorcycle to deposit the cash when the suspects stopped them at gunpoint and looted the money.
Following the incident, police were alerted through the Madadgar-15 helpline. Awami Colony police reached the spot and called the forensic team to collect evidence.
A case has been registered on the complaint of the cashier under relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code. Further investigation has been handed over to the Crime Investigation Cell (CIC), Korangi Division.
