Pop star Selena Gomez has calmly responded to Hailey Bieber’s recent remarks that many fans saw as a subtle dig at her beauty brand.
On Saturday, October 18, Selena took to Instagram Stories after Hailey’s now deleted post and a recent WSJ interview, where the model complained about constant comparisons between her Rhode Beauty and Selena’s Rare Beauty.
Hailey described the comparisons as “annoying,” adding that she didn’t want to be “pitted against” anyone. “It’s always annoying being compared to others. I didn’t ask for that,” she said. “There’s space for everybody. I don’t feel competitive with people I’m not inspired by,” she added a comment many believed was aimed at Selena.
In response, Selena wrote a mature and thoughtful message, asking fans not to attack Hailey. “She can say whatever she wants. It doesn’t affect my life whatsoever,” she said. “It’s about relevance, not intelligence. Be kind. All brands inspire me. There’s room for everyone hopefully, we can all stop.”
Hailey’s comments quickly went viral, sparking another wave of online debate between the two fandoms. Fans have long speculated about tension between Justin Bieber’s wife, Hailey, and his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, despite their earlier efforts to end the feud when they posed together for a photo in 2022.
Selena’s composed response once again showcased her grace, maturity, and message of kindness, urging followers to focus on positivity rather than rivalry.
