The Sindh government has announced a major reshuffle in the provincial cabinet, transferring key portfolios among senior ministers.
According to the official notification, Nasir Hussain Shah has been appointed as Sindh’s Minister for Local Government, while Saeed Ghani has been given charge of the Labour, Human Resource and Social Protection Department. Shah previously held the Energy and Planning & Development portfolios, whereas Ghani was serving as Local Government Minister.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Ismail Rahu has been inducted into the cabinet as a provincial minister. Gianchand Israni has been appointed Advisor to the Chief Minister for the Rehabilitation Department.
Jam Khan Shoro has been assigned additional charge of Planning & Development along with Irrigation, while Makhdoom Mehboob-uz-Zaman has been made Minister for Food, losing the Rehabilitation portfolio.
The notification also confirmed the appointment of four Special Assistants to the Chief Minister: Dr. Sham Sundar K. Advani, Faraz Abid Lakhani, Muhammad Tariq Hasan, and Atta Muhammad Panhwar.
Furthermore, Muhammad Ali Rashid has been designated Special Assistant for Science & IT, Abdul Jabbar Khan shifted from Food to Rehabilitation, and Jene Khan Sarfaraz reassigned from Social Protection to Archives.
