Karachi: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) conducted a raid in the Korangi area and arrested a female suspect allegedly involved in an inter-provincial drug trafficking network, officials said.
According to SSP SIU Imran Khan, authorities recovered 18.75 kilograms of hashish from the suspect. The woman, identified as Rimsha, was reportedly involved in large-scale drug distribution in the city.
Police stated that the suspect’s husband, Farhan, and her father, Tariq, are also allegedly linked to drug trafficking activities. Both men had previously been arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Force in separate cases.
Officials further revealed that the narcotics were smuggled into Karachi from Quetta and Panjgur. A case has been registered against the suspect at the SIU police station, while further investigation is underway to trace and arrest other accomplices.
