‎A short but unique study has revealed that children already suffering from asthma may experience worsening of their condition due to sleep disturbances or disorders.

‎According to a medical website, during the research conducted by experts, scientists analyzed data from children suffering from sleep problems and disturbances.

‎The data analysis showed that 40 percent of children may experience asthma attacks due to sleep disturbances, which included coughing, wheezing, or frequent waking during sleep.

‎The study found that children who had previously received medical treatment for sleep-related issues had a lower risk of severe asthma attacks in the future, while those who did not take medication for sleep disturbances were more likely to experience severe attacks.

‎The research revealed that in children already suffering from asthma, sleep disturbances or frequent waking significantly increase the risk of severe asthma attacks.

‎Experts involved in the study stated that identifying sleep disturbances in children with asthma is practically possible and can help physicians recognize children who are at a higher risk of severe attacks.
