A suspected member of the banned militant organization Daesh was produced before a special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) following his arrest.
According to court proceedings, ATC Judge Farid Khan Alizai approved a five-day physical remand of the accused and handed him over to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for further investigation.
CTD officials informed the court that the accused, identified as Tufail, is allegedly affiliated with the proscribed organization Daesh and is suspected of involvement in multiple terrorist activities in Peshawar and other areas.
The suspect was arrested a day earlier. During the hearing, the investigation officer requested physical remand, citing the need for further interrogation. The court accepted the request and granted a five-day remand.
