A 12 year old child from Jacobabad has been affected by rabies.
According to doctors at a private hospital in Karachi, symptoms of rabies appeared in the child two months after being bitten by a dog.
Doctors said the affected child has been shifted to a private hospital in Korangi, and bite marks from the dog are present on the child’s hands and legs.
The doctors further stated that the child was not given the rabies prevention vaccine in time. Rabies has entered its final stage, after which the child is being provided palliative care.
