In the final clash of the T20 Tri-Nation Series, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first against Sri Lanka.
For the all-important final, Pakistan made one change to their playing XI. Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has returned to the lineup, while Mohammad Wasim Jr. has been left out.
Sri Lanka, meanwhile, have retained the same team that defeated Pakistan in their previous meeting, making no changes.
During the toss, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha said the pitch is slightly different from the usual Rawalpindi surface but a total of 160 to 170 runs should still be defendable. He added that the team only needs to focus on playing quality cricket.
Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka stated that the cold weather would not be an issue, as the team is accustomed to such conditions. He further said that anything above 160 runs with the bat would be a bonus for them.
Sri Lanka booked their place in the final after beating Zimbabwe and then overcoming Pakistan in the last group match.
A day earlier, both captains posed with the trophy during a photo session at a local hotel.
