BAJAUR, August 13: Security forces have launched a long-anticipated operation against undocumented Afghan nationals in Bajaur district, official sources confirmed on Wednesday.
The operation, carried out in coordination with local administration and law enforcement agencies, targets individuals residing in the area without valid documents. Authorities stated that the move follows repeated warnings and verification drives aimed at identifying illegal residents.
Heavy contingents of security personnel sealed entry and exit points of key localities early in the morning, conducting door-to-door searches. Several suspects have reportedly been taken into custody for verification.
Officials say the crackdown is part of a broader nationwide initiative to address illegal migration, with special focus on border districts prone to cross-border movement.
