Third Victim Dies After Consuming Toxic Dahi Bhallay in Lahore
Lahore A third victim has died in Lahore after consuming poisonous dahi bhallay, raising the death toll from the food poisoning incident in Hanjarwal to three.
Police said the incident occurred on September 13, when three men fell critically ill after eating the contaminated snack. Two of them — identified as Ashraf and Sajjad — died shortly afterward.
The third victim, Ali Sher, was admitted to Jinnah Hospital in critical condition and placed on a ventilator. After battling for his life for a week, he succumbed to the effects of the toxic food on Sunday.
Authorities confirmed that Ali Sher’s body has been shifted to the morgue for legal and medical formalities.
Police investigations into the source of the contaminated food are ongoing.
