A tragic double murder took place in Karachi, where a woman killed her two young children with a sharp-edged weapon.
According to SSP South Mehroz Ali, the incident occurred in a bungalow on Street No. 10, Khayaban-e-Mujahid. The mother, identified as Adeeba, allegedly murdered her 8-year-old son Zarrar and 4-year-old daughter Samia, Dunya News reported.
Police said the couple divorced in 2024, and the court had granted custody of the children to their father. The children would visit their mother regularly. Their father works for a private company, while Adeeba was a housewife living alone.
The accused has been arrested along with the murder weapon. SSP South stated that the children visited their mother yesterday afternoon, and the crime was committed later. Police believe the suspect was suffering from mental health issues. Further investigation is under way.
