Washington – U.S. President Donald Trump congratulated Pakistan and India, stating that both countries have agreed to a ceasefire after overnight talks.
On social media platform X, Trump shared his message, saying, “After hours of diplomatic discussions facilitated by the United States, it is great to hear that both Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire.”
Trump further expressed his appreciation: “Both nations have agreed to an immediate ceasefire. I thank both governments and congratulate them on this significant step. Pakistan and India have shown maturity in resolving their differences.”
Earlier today, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio had a phone conversation with Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. During the call, the U.S. once again offered its support to help ease tensions and facilitate continued dialogue between the two nations.
