The results of a new scientific study have revealed that the habit of drinking coffee daily may reduce the risk of prostate cancer in men.

‎Scientists at Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University in China examined the relationship between coffee consumption and the risk of prostate cancer.

‎According to researchers, prostate cancer is the third leading cause of cancer related deaths among men, and estimates suggest that by the age of 85, one in six men may develop the disease.

‎The research included data from 16 different studies involving more than 57,000 prostate cancer patients and more than one million individuals in total.

‎According to the results, men who consumed higher amounts of coffee had a significantly lower risk of prostate cancer.

‎The study also found that with each additional cup of coffee consumed daily, a further reduction in the risk of the disease was observed.

‎Experts say that caffeine present in coffee not only improves brain performance but may also have other positive effects on the body.

‎Several previous studies have also linked coffee consumption with lower risks of cancers of the liver, breast, intestines, and head and neck.

‎Researchers clarified in the results that this is an observational study and it cannot conclusively prove that coffee directly prevents cancer, and further research is needed in this regard.
