Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahu and Chairman Karachi Inter Board Faqeer Muhammad Lakho Attend
KARACHI: A grand ceremony was held at the Bahria Auditorium, Karsaz, Karachi, to mark World Teachers’ Day 2025, jointly organized by the Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions Sindh and the All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association. The event recognized the outstanding contributions of teachers and celebrated the achievements of top-performing students from across Sindh.
Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahu graced the event as chief guest, while Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui attended as a special guest. The ceremony also featured distinguished participants, including MPA and Advisor to the Sindh Government on Minority Affairs Dr. Sham Sunder Advani, Vice-Chancellor NED University Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail, Executive Director IBCC Pakistan Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Chairman Karachi Inter Board Faqeer Muhammad Lakho, Chairman Sindh Board of Technical Education Musharraf Ali Rajput, and chairpersons of several educational boards across Sindh — including Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mirpurkhas, and Sukkur.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat-e-Rasool (PBUH). Rafia Javed, Additional Director of the Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions Sindh, delivered the welcome address.
During the event, the distinguished guests — including Minister Ismail Rahu, Mayor Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui, Chairman Faqeer Muhammad Lakho, and Chairman Musharraf Ali Rajput — presented the “Exemplary Educator Awards” to outstanding teachers in recognition of their exceptional service and dedication.
In his keynote address, Minister Ismail Rahu praised the vital role of teachers, stating, “The greatness of teachers cannot be captured in words. The Sindh government remains committed to enhancing the dignity of teachers and improving educational institutions.” He further congratulated both educators and students for their achievements, noting that the success of students brings pride to their families and institutions.
Later in the ceremony, Minister Rahu also distributed awards and shields among position-holding students to acknowledge their excellence, hard work, and talent.
Addressing the audience, Mayor Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui lauded teachers as the unsung heroes of the nation, saying, “Teachers silently shape future generations. Their dedication to the cause of education is truly commendable.”
Chairman of the All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association Syed Haider Ali and Executive Director IBCC Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah also paid tribute to teachers for their invaluable services in promoting education across Sindh.
The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to all distinguished guests in appreciation of their participation and contributions.
