A new oil refinery project worth $4.5 billion is planned in Hub, in a move expected to strengthen Pakistan’s energy and industrial sectors.

According to officials, the refinery will help increase the country’s oil processing capacity, reduce reliance on imported petroleum products, and improve long-term energy security. The project is also expected to attract significant local and foreign investment.

Sources said the proposed refinery will feature modern infrastructure and advanced refining technology designed to meet international production and environmental standards. Authorities believe the initiative could generate thousands of employment opportunities during construction and after operations begin.

Economic analysts say the project could support industrial development, improve fuel supply management, and contribute positively to Pakistan’s economy, particularly in Balochistan. More details regarding partnerships, investment structure, and project timelines are expected in the future.
