Arifwala/Pattoki, August 8: Three suspected dacoits were shot dead and two others escaped during separate police encounters in Arifwala and Pattoki on Friday, according to 24NewsHD TV.
In the first incident, which occurred in Ahmad Yar Police Station limits in Arifwala, one suspect was killed during a heavy exchange of gunfire. The CTD reported that the slain dacoit was wanted in multiple serious crimes, including murder and street robberies. Residents of the area later chanted slogans in support of CTD officers.
The second encounter unfolded in Karniwala, within Saddar Police Station jurisdiction in Pattoki, where two more suspects were killed and a policeman sustained an arm injury from a gunshot.
The Crime Control Department (CCD) identified the deceased suspects as Ali Sher Orah and Mushtaq Orah, both accused in several cases of dacoity, armed robbery, murder, and attempted murder. Gold jewellery and cash were recovered from the possession of the slain suspects.
The injured policeman was moved to a local hospital for treatment.
