Dengue Cases Rise in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, 19 More Reported

In the twin cities, 19 more dengue cases have been reported in the past 24 hours.

‎According to health department officials, six new patients have emerged in Islamabad’s rural areas and two in urban areas.

‎The total number of dengue patients in rural areas has reached 166 and 31 in urban areas, bringing the overall count in Islamabad to 197.

‎In Rawalpindi, 11 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, with 51 patients currently admitted to hospitals, while 21 patients are under treatment in Murree.

‎According to the Rawalpindi District Health Authority report, 5,430 patients were screened during 2025, out of which 144 cases were confirmed.

‎Vector surveillance has so far checked over 4.55 million houses, finding larvae in more than 100,000 of them. Due to larvae detection and violation of SOPs, 3,309 FIRs were registered, 1,517 locations sealed, and 3,134 challans issued.

‎A fine of PKR 8.893 million was collected in Rawalpindi, while in Murree, 201 locations were sealed, and a fine of PKR 885,000 was imposed.
