The World Health Organization has warned that epidemic diseases have increased in Pakistan due to floods.

‎According to the WHO report, if immediate measures are not taken, Pakistan’s healthcare system could collapse under the burden of outbreaks.

‎The report stated that after the floods, dengue cases have increased by 41 percent and malaria by 26 percent. Diarrhea is spreading in Balochistan and Sindh, while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, cases of scabies, skin diseases, and snake and dog bites are rising.

‎The report further mentioned that dozens of hospitals in flood affected areas have been destroyed or severely damaged.
