ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia and Turkiye have strongly condemned the recent wave of terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), which claimed the lives of several Pakistan Army soldiers. Both countries extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and reaffirmed their unwavering solidarity with Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.

In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of soldiers, rejecting all forms of extremism and violence. Riyadh conveyed its sympathy to the families of the fallen heroes and assured Pakistan of the Kingdom’s steadfast support during this difficult time.

Similarly, the Turkish Foreign Ministry denounced the assaults as “cowardly acts of terrorism” and prayed for the martyrs. Ankara reiterated its commitment to Pakistan’s security and stability, standing shoulder to shoulder with the nation against violent extremism.

The condemnations came after a series of deadly operations in KP, where Pakistan’s security forces engaged India-backed terrorists. On Saturday, 10 militants were killed during an intelligence-based operation in Lal Qila Maidan, Lower Dir. Seven soldiers, including two naiks, one lance naik and four sepoys, embraced martyrdom while rescuing civilians taken hostage by the attackers. Intelligence reports also indicated Afghan nationals’ involvement in the assault.

Between September 10 and 13, Pakistani forces launched multiple operations across Bajaur, South Waziristan, and other districts, eliminating 35 terrorists linked to the Indian backed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Despite their bravery, 12 soldiers lost their lives in these clashes. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the militants.

Pakistan’s military vowed to continue decisive action against terrorism, paying tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to defend innocent civilians and protect the motherland.
