LAHORE : The Punjab Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has introduced the province’s first-ever environmental storybook for schoolchildren, aimed at raising awareness about clean air, safe water, tree plantation, waste management, and pollution through engaging stories and colorful illustrations.
The book, designed for Grade 2 and 3 students, will be included in both public and private school curricula, with special teaching guidelines provided for teachers. Environment Secretary Salwat Saeed said the initiative is part of Punjab’s anti-smog and green development agenda.
EPA officials also announced that school-level quizzes, activities, and competitions will be organized to promote eco-friendly habits among children, while future editions will include topics such as biodiversity, recycling, and renewable energy.
