Dengue Out of Control in Rawalpindi

Dengue has become completely out of control in Rawalpindi.

‎According to details, the total number of dengue patients in government hospitals of the city has reached 413, while in private hospitals and clinics the number of patients has crossed 400.

‎Medical experts have declared the next one and a half months extremely dangerous for the spread of dengue. A total of 4,982,897 houses were inspected, out of which larvae were found in 130,336 houses.

‎From hotspot areas, 17,862 larvae were recovered, after which the administration rushed into action. In cleared areas, a third party survey discovered large scale dengue larvae from 113 locations.

‎Meanwhile, 13 dengue workers have been suspended for being absent without notice, and 3 others were suspended for submitting false reports.

‎During the dengue operation, 3,894 cases were registered and 1,722 properties were sealed due to larvae detection, while 3,304 challans were issued and a total fine of Rs. 9.784 million was imposed.
