OGDC has launched a significant medical campaign for the elimination of Hepatitis C. According to the organization’s spokesperson, free Hepatitis C screening and treatment camps will be set up in various areas of Punjab and Sindh, where people will be provided with free tests, checkups, medicines, and medical consultations.
These camps will operate in the first phase from September 23 to December 11, 2025. In Punjab, the facilities will be available at health centers in Chakwal, Attock, Gujar Khan, and Dera Ghazi Khan, while in Sindh, Hyderabad, Sanghar, and Ghotki will host the camps.
OGDC has already donated 35 free eye camps, 3 mobile operation theaters, 45 free mammography camps, 100 ambulances, and 6 mobile health units across the country. The organization has appealed to the public to actively participate in these Hepatitis C elimination camps for the protection of their own and their families’ health.
The spokesperson emphasized that timely treatment of Hepatitis C is the key to a prosperous and healthy life. This initiative is an important development in the public health sector, expected to benefit thousands of citizens.
