The statistics regarding the government’s ongoing HPV vaccination campaign have been released.
According to the data, the 12-day HPV vaccination campaign targeted 11.7 million girls. By the end of 11 days, 6.6 million out of 11.7 million girls had been vaccinated.
In Punjab, vaccination coverage reached 63 percent, while in Sindh it was 65 percent. In Azad Kashmir, coverage stood at 35 percent, and in Islamabad, 34 percent of the targeted girls were vaccinated.
During the 11 days, 4 million girls remained unvaccinated. The reasons for not receiving the vaccine included parental refusal, illness, or unavailability of the children.
