In a delightful turn of events for fans, South Indian stars Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are officially engaged. After years of speculation about their relationship, Vijay’s team confirmed the engagement to Hindustan Times on Saturday morning, putting an end to long-standing rumours.
According to the confirmation, the much-loved couple will tie the knot in February 2026. While details about the engagement ceremony remain under wraps, neither Rashmika nor Vijay has made any official social media announcement yet.
The two have shared a close bond ever since working together in the blockbuster films Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019). Their undeniable on-screen chemistry soon sparked off-screen romance rumours, which fans have followed closely ever since.
Over the years, Rashmika and Vijay have often been seen together from attending events like the 43rd India Day Parade in New York and Bharat Beyond Borders, to posting vacation pictures from the same destinations. These subtle clues only added to the speculation about their relationship status.
In 2024, both actors hinted that they were “not single” but chose not to name their partners. Recently, they were even spotted leaving the airport together in the same car, further fuelling talk that they were ready to make things official.
On the professional front, Rashmika Mandanna was last seen in Kuberaa, co-starring Dhanush and Nagarjuna, and will next appear in Thamma, a horror-comedy featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal, releasing on Diwali 2025. She also has Cocktail 2 alongside Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor, and other projects like The Girlfriend and Mysaa.
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda recently appeared in Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, co-starring Satyadev and Bhagyashree Borse.
With their engagement now confirmed, Rashmika and Vijay’s much-awaited wedding in early 2026 is set to be one of the most talked about events in the Indian film industry.
