Scientists have developed an incredible injection that can prevent Alzheimer’s disease, a condition that destroys memory and thinking ability. This injection works by removing unwanted material from the brain, potentially stopping the disease from progressing.

‎Researchers believe that this treatment could become effective for humans within the next few years.

‎According to reports, scientists tested the injection on mice suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and found it to be effective. It is now expected to show promising results in humans soon.

‎Alzheimer’s, which gradually destroys memory and cognitive abilities, is currently an incurable disease and is the leading cause of dementia in the UK, affecting more than 600,000 people.

‎In a study conducted at University College London, scientists repaired the blood brain barrier a layer of cells that protects the brain to enable the body to naturally clear toxic proteins.

‎It is believed that in Alzheimer’s disease, amyloid beta toxins accumulate uncontrollably and slowly destroy brain cells, leading to dementia. In healthy individuals, the blood brain barrier acts as a gatekeeper, but when this process malfunctions, it contributes to the development of Alzheimer’s.

‎Jin Yan Cheng, a scientist at Sichuan University Hospital in western China and the lead author of the study, said that just one hour after administering the injection, they observed a 50 to 60 percent reduction in toxic substances present in the brain.
