New grading system applies
The board has introduced a revised grading system for the 2026 Intermediate Part-I examinations in line with decisions by the Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC) and the Sindh government’s Universities and Boards Department.
Under the new rules, students scoring below 40% in any paper will be marked “Ungraded” and will not be considered to have passed that subject. Eligible candidates will have to retake the relevant paper.
BIEK said optional subjects in the science groups were assessed electronically through Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) and e-marking systems.
Students can check their results through the board’s official website or its Android application by searching for “BIEK” on the Google Play Store.
The Pre-Engineering Part-I result was announced separately on October 2.
