ISLAMABAD, Oct 9 (APP): Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC), under its Taleem Network Pakistan project, organized a special event to celebrate World Teachers’ Day, honoring the contributions of educators from public and private institutions.

Vice Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University, Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood, highlighted teachers as the “torchbearers of society” whose efforts shape future generations. NPC Chairman Mian Muhammad Javed emphasized the need to educate over 20 million out-of-school children, urging government and private sector cooperation.

Former Ambassador Afrasiab Mehdi Hashmi underscored the Islamic perspective on teachers’ exalted status, while Taleem Network Pakistan Chairperson Razina Alam Khan praised outstanding educators for their dedication.

The ceremony concluded with the distribution of appreciation certificates among 35 teachers for their exceptional service.
